NFL brothers Jason and Travis Kelce have shared their thoughts on their mother Donna’s reality television debut, and it’s fair to say they were pleasantly surprised by her cunning side.
Speaking on today’s episode of their New Heights podcast, the pair reflected on 73-year-old Donna’s appearance on The Traitors season four.
Jason, 38, didn’t hold back with his assessment of his mum’s performance.
“I thought she did fantastic,” the retired Philadelphia Eagles centre said. “She was way more deceitful and devious than I thought Mom could ever be, which was surprising.”

Travis, 36, agreed and was equally thrilled watching his mum take on the competition.
“I was so proud of her, man,” the Kansas City Chiefs tight end said. “She looked like she was having a blast, enjoying it all… it was just so cool to see her in this moment.”
The younger Kelce brother praised Donna for holding firm during the show’s tense roundtable discussions, where contestants vote to banish suspected traitors.
He was particularly moved by the message his mum sent about embracing new opportunities later in life, describing it as “beautiful” that she could pursue such experiences at her age.
Donna made history on the Peacock series as the first-ever “secret Traitor” in the show’s run, though her time in the game proved brief.

Her fellow contestants voted to banish her during the roundtable in episode three, confirming their suspicions about her hidden role.
After her elimination, Donna reflected on the experience with tears in her eyes.
“Playing a Traitor was tough, but I gave it my best shot,” she said. “This has been a dream come true. These are happy tears that I get to do this at this point in my life. It’s just the joy of being in the game.”

Travis made sure to acknowledge comedian Ron Funches, who befriended Donna during filming and remained loyal to her throughout.
“Shout-out to my guy Ron Funches for sticking by her side and being kind to her,” Travis said, noting that Funches likely had mixed feelings after discovering Donna’s secret role.
The brothers aren’t strangers to discussing the show. Back in September 2024, they chatted about potentially appearing on The Traitors themselves.
Travis reckoned Jason would excel at the game, though Jason admitted he’s a terrible liar. Travis, meanwhile, said he’d prefer playing as a Faithful rather than a Traitor.
